Who We Are

StellarCore is a student-lead initiative focused on pioneering new technologies for the aerospace and energy industry. Our team regularly competes in prestigious global competitions and showcases our innovations to leading manufacturers and technology corporations, highlighting the potential of our work at StellarCore.

Viasat Space For Good 2025

The Viasat Space For Good Challenge was where the concept of “Project Tranquillity” was cultivated. Near limitless energy for hundreds of years. Our technology was selected as a finalist where it was pitched to industry leaders such as the ESA, Viasat, Lockheed Martin, and government representatives. This lead to the development of StellarCore.

Cambridge’s Davidsons Young Inventors Challenge

An adapted concept of our wireless energy transfer system in Project Tranquillity was used to compete in the Davidsons Young Inventors Challenge 2025. This competition gives students a chance to present new technologies to help life on Earth. The team and I redefined power beaming technology during the course of this competition, designing never-seen before infrastructure to be used to help supply poor and remote areas of the globe with remotely available, clean energy.

Our Story

Our story begins in early 2025 under the name Project Tranquillity during the Viasat Space for Good Challenge. The idea progressed through the initial phases and reached the final eight at Viasat’s London headquarters. During the preparation period, the concept was developed further with guidance from Viasat mentors and began to take on a clearer technical direction. On the day of the final presentation, the project was shared with a panel of judges, followed by an awards event that recognised the work of all finalists.

That evening marked a shift in focus. The long term potential of wireless energy became clear, and the decision was made to continue refining the concept beyond the competition. In the following weeks initial discussions began with teams at Imperial College London to explore next steps. From these early conversations StellarCore was formed with the goal of advancing sustainable wireless power systems for future space and terrestrial applications.

Our Future

The future with StellarCore is centred on creating practical, reliable systems that elevate how energy is delivered both on Earth and beyond it. Our research is expanding into VoltNet, a wireless charging technology designed to remove the constraints of conventional cables and ports. VoltNet aims to enable seamless power delivery for equipment such as phone and laptops, but also to electric vehicles and heavy machinery with the long term potential to scale toward larger systems. By focusing on efficiency, safety and adaptability, VoltNet represents a significant step toward more flexible and universal charging solutions.

At the same time we continue to develop Project Tranquillity and the design of ArcSat 0.1, our first satellite concept intended to support future lunar to Earth power transmission. As a young company we are committed to building transparent, science driven progress in partnership with research hubs across the world. These early stages are vital for establishing our place within the space and energy sectors. We welcome the collaboration that helps move this vision forward.
